Finally, Sword and Board Engineers can strike a balance between high damage and high durability, and use the excellent Shield Bash to generate charge quickly. Engineers with high Focus can use Fire and Spark to pump their elemental damage in both melee or ranged combat. Engineers can also dish out good damage in melee using Ember Hammer and Flame Hammer, or at range using either Blast Cannon or later Fusillade. Forcefield provides excellent durability to tanking builds while letting them rely on robot minions for damage. While often considered the tanking class, Engineers can be built to fulfill any role. The idea to make a railroad themed class was shelved, and revisited with the Railmaster class in Torchlight 3.Įngineers start with 15 strength, 5 dexterity, 5 focus and 15 vitality. The class name was changed in August 2011 after the developers decided not to include railroads in the game environments. The Engineer class was originally named the "Railman" and was envisioned as building railroads across the frontier of Vilderan.

The Engineer has three skill trees: Blitz (melee attacks and two-handed weapons), Construction (summoned bots and grenade/cannon skills), and Aegis (shield-based and defensive skills). As such, they have become honed warriors, taking up massive two-handed spanners as weapons and wearing Ember-powered armor. They have come to the continent of Vilderan to help open up the frontier, oversee ember mines, and explore ancient dwarven ruins. Enjoy the bloodbath.Engineers are the technological experts of the Empire, and are responsible for constructing and maintaining its Herkonian Embercraft transports. If you want more active buttons to press, you can go the Raze (Hunter) route, doing huge damage while you're in Frenzy (but it doesn't build charge, so should only be used in Frenzy), or Rupture (Hunter) for more AoE damage. Rage Retaliation (Tundra) can also be useful.

Can beat Tarrochs Tomb with level 1 white weapon. Kiron Connor: Berserker: Can kill Netherlord just by Rage Retaliation. When Ravage (Hunter) unlocks at level 42, getting it to Tier 1 should become your top priority after your core three passives for its boss-shredding ability. Save the text file, load up a character, and hit INSERT to bring up the console. Torchlight 2 Outlander Builds To aid in that benevolent cause, we have devised 4 builds for the class.Open settings.txt, and find the line that says "CONSOLE :0", which should be third from the top.Find your Torchlight 2 save folder, usually under Documents/My Games/Runic Games/Torchlight 2/save.NOTE: This will give your character a visible cheater flag beside your name in multiplayer, just like editing the stats file does. Luckily, if you want the freedom to redistribute all of your skill points at any time, the game supports it. By default, Torchlight 2 only allows you to respec your last three skill points (at a steep cost.) Thus, you may already be so far in that these builds are impossible to use.
